I've decided to do a series of doodles inspired by childhood memories! This one is my memory of a park I used to go to as a kid. The neighborhood folk call it "Hidden Park" since it's wedged between a bunch of houses.

Braceleted and White and Bare

A super, super, super quick drawing (made in under an hour) for my English class. The instructions were to take a few lines from a poem we've been studying and draw the image it creates for us. I've actually been meaning to do this anyway with some other poetry I've read, so I was really excited about this assignment! It's a great drawing exercise.

The lines were:

And I have known the arms already, known them all--

Arms that are braceleted and white and bare

(But in the lamplight, downed with light brown hair!)

Is it perfume from a dress

That makes me so digress?

Arms that lie along a table, or wrap about a shawl.

Electric Eel

Inspired by a recent visit to the local aquarium. Eels have the funniest mouths.
