Eating pomegranate seeds inspired me to draw this! I hadn't noticed before, but their color is really pretty.

I dressed up as a banana stand worker from Arrested Development this Halloween. If you haven't seen that wonderful show, go watch it!

I had to justify my purchasing the beautiful apron since usually my costumes just sit in my closet, so I hereby proclaim my new-found lifelong career and admittance into chef-hood.

I'm attending weekly figure drawing sessions again, so here's another round of nakey people photos! The last image had an accidental ink drip, so I added more... I think I'm going to need to work with that a little more...

Also, it's really a shame that colorful inks are incredibly non-lightfast. They're so vibrant and beautiful yet fade so quickly... like a tragic love story...

Recently went to the dentist, and while staring at the light I thought, "I could draw this. How interesting would this light be."

 More California-inspired doodles! Top doodle was inspired by the lovely Burbank and bottom doodle was inspired by middle-of-nowhere yet still lovely Valencia. I got so much inspiration from California scenery on my visit. Really hoping I'll be back soon :)

Goodbye, Los Angeles-- For Now!

Just returned from an exciting trip to SoCal! I saw California mountains for the first time, and they are so beautiful. I was incredibly sad leaving the LA area today and returning home. But now I have lots of inspiration for some illustrations! (:

Gerenuk!

After finding out about the wonderful bendy-necked animal, the gerenuk, I instantaneously drew it. They have all the right features to caricature: long necks, giant ears, fancy eyelashes. I'm thinking of doing some more caricatured designs of this guy, but for now, here's my rendered bendy necked beauty.




NOTE: I'm not really sure how bendy their necks are. This might be an exaggeration.

I succumbed to a Tumblr meme and drew myself with a light saber. I've never even seen Star Wars... I've been told I should fix that.

My last figure drawings of the summer! Hopefully I'll sign myself up for more classes sometime soon.

 

Although my figure drawing adventures are (temporarily) on hold, expect to see some more illustrations soon! :)
